CA hosts a variety of weekly social, cultural, and community-service based events. Each year, CA also presents an annual production known as Culture Night, which showcases the broad regional diversity of Chinese culture through different Chinese ethnic dances, skits, martial arts, and other displays of customs.

Being one of the most popular events of the year, this event aims to strengthen the bond between CAUCI members through skiing and snowboarding, shopping downtown, and bonding in a cozy luxury cabin.

CA holds weekly general meetings at 7pm in (Location TBD) every Thursday. All general meetings are followed by after-events that change every week and typically conclude around 9-10pm. More information about our after-events is released on our Instagram and Facebook pages.

In order to register as an official member of CAUCI, you must fill out our membership application and pay membership fees. The membership application asks about your basic information, as well as, more interests and personality-oriented questions.

Membership fees for new members is $30 and $25 for returning members. This covers membership for the whole year. Fees are accepted through cash or venmo @CAUCI with the description “(your name, membership dues).

Unique to that year CA t-shirt.
Chinese Association membership card, including discounts to local businesses around the greater OC area and LA county.
Access to Chinese Association exclusive events such as clubbing, Chinese Heritage Festival, and participation in our Annual Culture Night.
Incorporation into our family system where you will receive a big and family to guide, support, and hang out with throughout the year.

CA is one of the largest social-cultural organizations on campus with an average of over 400 members. Our family system allows for smaller groups of similar individuals to get to know each other. We hope the family system fosters lasting relationships that continue outside CA and extend beyond your time at UCI.

Families are sorted anonymously based on the submitted responses to the questions on section 2 of your membership application. If you already have a big in mind, you may preference them on the membership card as well.

Chinese Association Mentorship Program (CAMP), is a yearlong program where members can connect and seek guidance from our organization’s alumni and upperclassmen members. The purpose of this program is to provide members, mentors, and mentees alike, with an enriching experience through networking, as well as, to introduce members to beneficial resources on and off-campus.
